Shreveport, LA - Alexandra Jones is a native of Shreveport, LA.  She holds dual certifications as a Nurse Practitioner.  She received her Post-Master’s certification for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Southeastern University in Hammond, LA in May 2017.  She received her Masters in Family Nurse Practitioner in May 2011 from Northwestern State University, Natchitoches, LA.  She is also a proud alumnus of Grambling State University, Grambling, LA where she received a B.S. in Biology in 2002 and Southern University, Baton Rouge, LA where she received B.S. in Nursing in 2007. 

Alexandra has always had a desire to serve individuals in the community considered as being part of a vulnerable population; prior to joining the New Day Recovery Team, she provided primary care at two State/Private Hybrid Organizations for a combined 6 years in addition to providing treatment management to individuals with varied psychiatric diagnosis since 2016.  She has served a various Boards in her community and as a preceptor and mentor for nursing, medical and physician assistant students.  Alexandra values time with her family and loved ones. She approaches life each day full of gratefulness and thankfulness.  Her daily prayer is to be able to make difference in at least one person’s life.
