Dr. Robert Hanser, LPC-S, LAC, NCC, is the Clinical Director for New Day Recovery. He has worked in the field of addictions in outpatient programming, residential treatment, and prison-based programs. His work in substance abuse recovery has included both male and female-specific programs.
Dr. Rob has been a past supervisor of addiction counselors with the 4th Judicial District Adult Drug Court & DWI Court and he is also a past-President of the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence (LCADV). He is the current director of the 4th Judicial District’s Batterer Intervention Program (BIP).
Lastly, Dr. Rob is a researcher and a writer. He has written 7 textbooks as sole author or lead author, and has been a co-author of 4 more textbooks and/or anthologies. He has written numerous peer-reviewed journal articles as well as book chapters and reference works. Dr. Rob has also completed several evaluative studies of drug treatment programs in the region and serves on numerous community boards, task forces, and committees.
